Who this policy covers

This policy covers the Outgrown iPhone app and this website, provided by Outgrown. For privacy questions, contact support@outgrownmusic.com.

Apple Music access

With your permission, the app uses Apple’s MusicKit services to read your music library, display track details and artwork, play music, and manage Outgrown playlists. Apple handles your Apple Account sign-in and music service access. Outgrown does not ask for or receive your Apple Account password.

Requests to Apple and artwork delivery services involve information needed to deliver those services, such as network addresses and requested music items. Apple’s handling of this information is covered by Apple’s privacy policy.

What stays on your device

Outgrown stores your sorting decisions, removed and favorite track records, and playlist synchronization status locally in the app’s storage. It also caches artwork to display your music. The current app has no Outgrown account system or developer-operated cloud library database.

The app sends the relevant track and playlist identifiers to Apple when mirroring your choices to the “Outgrown — Removed” and “Outgrown — Favorites” playlists. These playlists are stored in your Apple Music account.

Website and support

This website does not include advertising trackers, analytics scripts, account registration, or marketing cookies. Its hosting provider, Vercel, may process standard request data such as IP addresses, requested pages, and browser information to deliver and secure the website. See Vercel’s privacy policy.

If you email support, your email address and the information you choose to send are used to respond to your request. Avoid sending passwords or other sensitive information. Support correspondence is kept only as needed to resolve your request and meet applicable obligations.

Your choices and deletion

You can revoke Music access through iPhone Settings. Deleting the app removes its local app data from the device; device backups are managed separately through Apple’s backup settings. Apple Music playlists created by Outgrown remain in your Apple Music account until you remove them there. Deleting the app does not delete your Apple Music library.

Tracking and changes

The current app does not include advertising or third-party analytics SDKs. We do not sell your music library or use it for targeted advertising. If these practices change, this policy will be updated before the new practices apply.
